fitness GOALS for the new year:
bench- take it from 95x1 to 135x1 (this is less than 5lbs a month. 3.3 to be exact)
squat- take it from 135x5 to 225x5 (this is less than 10 lbs a month. 7.5 to be exact)
deadlift- take it from 225x1 to 315x1 (this is less than 10 lbs a month. 7.5 to be exact)
running- run a 5k (timed race) under 30 minutes (i’d like to enjoy running)
flexibility- take 5 minutes pre and post workout to work on mobility.
comfortably hold left, right, and center splits, king pigeon pose, and lord of the dance pose (for no reason other than they’re pretty cool).
misc- i’d like to learn proper form for snatch and clean and jerk, perhaps dedicating up to two days a month to weightlifting. (weightlifters seems much more serious about their sport than powerlifters, i’d like to explore the possibility that these lifts are superior)
aesthetic- maintain 10+ inch waist/hip ratio, maybe lose weight??? because that would be cool??? like 30lbs??? okayokay.
fitness RESOLUTIONS for the new year:
-improve sleeping habits. (this includes no electronics sleeping next to me, going to bed and waking up at the same time every night, perhaps 10:30/6:30. waking up with the alarm and not hitting snooze, etc.)
-drink 2 liters of water a day. (because somehow i don’t? and that’s pretty bad for me?)
-increase fiber intake. (because poop.)
-increase protein intake. (because muscles.)
-finish off vitamins, etc. (decide which, if any, are worth replenishing)
personal goals and resolutions-
i don’t really get that personal on this blog, i’m unsure why. some things:
-attain cosmetology/barbering license.
-attend flight attendant school.
-finish the spanish rosetta stone.
-get some (better) friends
-volunteer at best friends animal sanctuary (specifically dogtown)
-go to warped tour (teenage dream)
-go to coachella
-go to disneyland
-date? (no, seriously, it’s been a little over 2 years. no one will date me.)
visit ALL the doctors (eye, dentist, gyno, general health…my insurance is out in may)
start >5 shows (game of thrones, AHS, blue collar?)
-get a better tag game
